    According to Article 85 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Regulations, violations before handing over item by item will be judged due to the violation facts, and the debtor shall be responsible for all of the violations.

  • My driving permit is overdue, what should I do?

    Any of the following identity documents: National I.D. card, military I.D. card, alien residence permit or another valid automobile driving license (photocopy is acceptable if it is applied for by the applicant in person).

  • My vehicle was cancelled for inspection behind time, but I still want to use it, what should I do?

    Please clear all unpaid taxes, fees and fines up to the day before cancellation, turn back your driving permit , and re-examine vehicle after handling cancellation (450 NTD for small vehicle, 600 NTD for large vehicle inspection), and tax and other fee should be paid from recollecting day to the end of the year, and also number plate fee 600 NTD, driving permit 200 NTD.

  • How should I handle the vehicle recycling procedure?

    If the owner of the vehicle is a handicapped person, the driving permit , driver’s license and Handicapped Handbook shall be examined; if the handicapped person is not able to have the driver’s license, driving permit , Handicapped Handbook and the Certificate of Household Registry which is able to prove the relationship between the owner and the handicapped person shall be examined; the applicant should prepare the certificates mentioned above to apply for tax exemption in the Tax Administration of the jurisdiction.

  • “One-time penalty” involves computerized operations for adjudication. How does it set the deadline for the required appearance of the person penalized?

    The following is a brief description of how the deadline for a required appearance is set for adjudication under “one-time penalty:”
    1. Deadline of fine payment: the deadline of fine payment is one month from the date of adjudication. For example, if the date of adjudication is May 20, 2006, the deadline of fine payment will be June 19, 2006.
    2. Deadline of cancellation (revocation): in the event of failure to hand over any vehicle or driver’s license suspended by penalty, the vehicle or driver’s license will be revoked on the day following the deadline for its handover. For example, if the deadline for handover of the suspended vehicle or driver’s license is July 4, 2006, the vehicle or driver’s license will be revoked on the next day, namely July 5, 2006.
    Where the penalty requires revocation of a vehicle or driver’s license, the vehicle or driver’s license will also be directly canceled.
    3. Deadline of referral to the court for enforcement: referral to the court for enforcement will be made on the day following the deadline of fine payment.

  • How much will I be charged for service fee if I pay a fine by Giro transfer at a post office?

    Yes. While the original procedure requires a penalty notice to be issued four times, “one-time penalty” only requires it to be issued once. This not only shortens the schedule but also significantly reduces the costs for postage of AR registered mails.
