"Mastering Motorcycle Skills Safely, Not Luck" – By enrolling in Yunlin County's Motorcycle Training Classes, citizens are embracing a policy that offers exceptional tuition benefits. In addition to a generous NT$1,300 subsidy for motorcycle rider training from the Ministry of Transportation, the Yunlin County Government is adding another NT$1,300 subsidy, resulting in a maximum subsidy of NT$2,600 per student. The Yunlin Station of Chiayi Motor Vehicles Office emphasizes that participating in these training courses significantly reduces the risk of violations and accidents. This encouragement motivates citizens to participate in training and licensing examinations, fostering a safer road environment for everyone.

Beyond receiving subsidies for training fees, those who obtain their motorcycle license through these training programs can also participate in a prize draw organized by the Chiayi Motor Vehicles Office and Aeon Motor Co., Ltd. Recognizing the achievements of eligible students who complete the course, the top prize is a valuable NT$10,000 product voucher. This promotion is available until November 30th this year, urging citizens to capitalize on this opportunity and enroll actively. For comprehensive details, please visit the Chiayi Motor Vehicles Office's website under the "Motor Vehicle Services - Motorcycle Training Subsidies and Prize Draw Rules" section.

Furthermore, Taiwan's leading automotive finance company, Hotai Finance Co., collaborates with the Directorate General of Highways to support the motorcycle training system through promotional events. These initiatives encompass subsidizing individuals attending motorcycle training, hosting a competition for motorcycle safety videos, and presenting a challenge where individuals with a clean record for three months can enter a prize draw. Detailed information about these activities can be found in the ESG Section of Hotai Finance Co.'s website under "Motorcycle Safety Promotion."

Yunlin Motor Vehicle Office's Chief, Qiwen Chen, notes motorcycle training courses have been in motion since 2019. Research analysis demonstrates that individuals who complete motorcycle training and secure their license experience a 56% reduction in violation risk and a 35% reduction in accident risk. This significant improvement extends to their understanding of traffic safety concepts and riding techniques. The Chief encourages those without motorcycle licenses to actively enroll in training courses, which offer comprehensive and professional motorcycle instruction, ultimately enhancing road safety for all.

A recent tragedy in Kaohsiung involved a female college student's unfortunate accident while practicing nighttime motorcycle riding on a pedestrian pathway for her driving test. Motorcycle training courses provide a secure venue for novices to practice and deliver training sessions that heighten novice drivers' awareness of potential road hazards. This approach cultivates safe and defensive driving practices. The Yunlin Station adds that opportunities for such subsidies are rare. In Yunlin, two businesses offer motorcycle training courses: Yongqing Driver’s License Training School in Gukeng Township and Dongtai Driving School in Sihu Township. Furthermore, the establishment of a motorcycle class at Xinma Driving School in Dongshi Township is underway. Citizens with a need are strongly encouraged to make the most of these available resources.
