ContentThe 2021 fuel usage tax for private vehicles and motorcycles will start to be imposed in July, and all the regional authorities of the Directorate General of Highways have been sending out the payment notices to the public, so please make your payments on time.
In order to reduce the social contact between people during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is recommended that you make payment online by credit card or via internet banking on the vehicle service website, vehicle service app, e-Bill, and by phone in addition to making payments at financial institutions, post offices, and four major convenience stores such as 7-11, Family Mart, Hi-Life, and OK Mart. (For credit card payment, please contact the issuing bank if there is a handling fee; for all other payment methods, there is no handling fee).
According to Xinying Station, if a vehicle owner has not received or lost the notice of payment, he or she is advised to check and pay online directly through the vehicle service website or vehicle service app. In addition, the vehicle owner can go to the nearest convenience store to re-print payment notice and make the payment via its multi-media device or pay at the bank's counter. To prevent being penalized for the late fee, it is recommended that you can apply for automatic payment from your financial account by completing the application form on the website or by sending it back to the vehicle service office. Once the application is completed, the vehicle fuel usage tax will be automatically deducted from the designated account on the last day of the tax period each year, so you can save time and it’s hassle-free!
