Modification of relevant highway supervision service in response to the Central Epidemic Command Center’s announcement of raising up the domestic epidemic warning to the third level of alert or above.

Content	In response to the dire situation of domestic COVID-19 epidemic, some people are involved in epidemic prevention measures such as self-health monitoring, in-house quarantine and entrance prohibition, which made Chiayi Motor Vehicle Office inaccessible to them. To protect the rights of the public, and to follow Directorate General of Highway’s indication ”Stopgap measures of relevant highway supervision service influenced by COVID-19 epidemic prevention measures”, Chiayi Motor Vehicle Office suspended the following highway supervision services: “Registration of Periodical Vehicle Inspection”, “Ruling and fines-payment of traffic cases, Highway Act violations and Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance Act intrusions”, ”Collection of fuel fee”,” Professional Driver's License Verification” and “Traffic Safety Lecture”. As long as you offer certificates issued by Medical Institutions, Exit and Entry Administration and District Public Health Center or other proof documents that are sufficient to demonstrate the discharge from hospital, entry of country and rescinding of house quarantine or isolation, applications of the aforementioned services shall remain available. In response to the Central Epidemic Command Center’s announcement of strengthening up the domestic epidemic warning to Level 3, as well as Guidance on Level 3 Epidemic Warning established by the Executive Yuan, training centers categorized into educational facilities shall be shut down. Consider that domestic medical institutions should keep sufficient momentum during the epidemic, Directorate General of Highways had announced that the suspension of “Extension of make-up training program of designated training institutions” and “Periodical renewal and examination of driving license that require physical examination” will serve as additional Stopgap measures. Relevant applications accomplished within 6 months after a nationwide abolition of Level 3 (or above) epidemic warning will be regarded as not expired. To coordinate with that announcement, Chiayi Motor Vehicle Office suspends the deadlines of Driving license renewal and examination service, and relevant highway supervision training affairs.
