Tainan Motor Vehicle Office will hold a holiday locomotive driver's license test and road safety training course on October 16 (Saturday).

ContentThe Tainan Motor Vehicles Office will offer holiday locomotive driver's license test on October 16, 2021 (Saturday) for office workers and students from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as well as for people who should attend road safety training course due to the violation of traffic laws. We only accept online appointments to avoid gathering during the pandemic time, the on-site application will not be accepted, so hurry up and make an appointment online!
The applicants should first go to the Motor Vehicles Office website (https://www.mvdis.gov.tw/) or download the App to make an appointment for registration. The website application procedure is for the former is Application for Test → Registration for License → Enter the type of license, expected test date, and test location (click on Chiayi Area Motor Vehicles Office before clicking on Tainan Motor Vehicles Office), or go to the nearest Motor Vehicles Office and use the full-featured counter to make an appointment.
You must complete the 3 video tests to experience the dangerous perception before you can register for your locomotive license test! Online appointment registration starts 30 days before the test date and is available until the 24:00 hours of the day before the test date (i.e. no appointment can be made on that day). If you are unable to take the test on the test date, please cancel your appointment no later than 7:00 a.m. on the test date, or call to cancel during the service hours of the office where the appointment was made. It will affect your rights!
In order to reduce the death toll of A1 and A2 motorcycle accidents, the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC) issued a press release on April 8, 2021, stating that as of May 3, 2021, those who apply for a locomotive driver's license with a valid automobile driver's license should still take a written test in order to ensure the safety of driving.
The test procedure for that day is:
1. Registration for the locomotive driver's license test starts at 08:00 to 08:30.
2. Preliminary training classes will be held from 08:30 to 10:30.
3. The written test and road test will start at 08:10, and the test will be conducted on a drop-in basis, with the road test to follow after passing the written test.
4. The road safety training course check-in time is at 08:30, the class time is from 09:00 to 12:00. (We do not offer outside training and drunk driving class)
Reminders:
1. Please bring the original ID card, 3 photos (1-inch glossy, plain background, clear photos showing the face and taken within the last 2 years, no composite photos are allowed, the photos shall include the eyes, ears, eyebrows, nose and mouth), a qualified medical certificate and a light-weight motorcycle driver's license (for those who apply for a written test exemption).
2. Applicants who have not completed the physical examination are not allowed to register. You can go to the designated clinics in the vicinity to complete the physical examination on the same day, please take advantage of it.
3. Those that have not completed the training course will not be allowed to take the written test or road test. If you have completed the training course within one year and have a light-weight motorcycle driver's license or you have to retake the test due to the suspension of your license, please go to the written test room or road test site at the above mentioned time after completing the application.
4. Any traffic violation cases should be resolved during the regular working hours of this office.
5. In order to meet the requirements for epidemic prevention, candidates should continue to wear masks, wash their hands regularly, keep a social distance, and conduct the name registration to reduce the risk for epidemic transmission.
